I went to The Hawk vintage race at Road America last month. These are some pictures I took while I was there.

On Friday evening the race cars parade through downtown Elkhart Lake. It was quite a sight seeing them just driving down a city street.

There’s always some interesting cars in town on a race weekend.

Such an awesome event. Wish I were closer. Between this one and the event at Watkins Glen I think my head would explode with all the vintage glory in attendance. Especially the open wheel variety!

Thanks! I use a D7000 with a 55-300 for the on track stuff, and a 35mm prime for everything else.

Nice! I’m having trouble getting consistent sharpness shooting with Sony, but that could just be me. Looking to replace my 55-210 with something soon
